Technology & Operations Management

  • Operations is concerned with management of the processes used by organizations to create and deliver value for their customers.

Operational thinking is useful for managing and improving processes within both product and service delivery organizations and in their extended supply chains. Effective process management is crucial in transitioning from traditional to new economy business.

The physical and information flows associated with these processes are often a major focus in Operations; other key topics include quality management, inventory management, capacity management, creation of new products and services and understanding how operational capabilities influence customer value.
